Formosa Microsemi is committed to hazardous substance management,
environmental regulatory compliance, and responsible supply chain practices.
We continuously manage material risks in accordance with applicable international regulations
and customer requirements through supplier management, document review, and appropriate testing and verification.
Environmental and Hazardous Substance Management Commitment
As global environmental awareness continues to increase, the control of restricted and substances of concern
has become an important element of product safety, environmental protection, and supply chain management.
Formosa Microsemi manages hazardous substances in products and materials in accordance with applicable requirements,
including RoHS, REACH, ELV, TSCA, California Proposition 65, PFAS-related requirements, and customer specifications.
Where certain substances such as lead are technically required in specific manufacturing processes,
they are managed only where applicable regulatory exemptions are available.
Examples include applicable lead exemptions for high-melting-temperature solder
and lead contained in certain glass or ceramic applications under RoHS Annex III.
Formosa Microsemi also maintains responsible minerals management practices.
We expect our supply chain to avoid minerals that may directly or indirectly finance armed groups or originate
from high-risk sources, and we conduct supply chain due diligence based on recognized industry frameworks,
including the Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI).
